family raised guardian program

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BECOMING A GUARDIAN HOME?

All our dogs used in our breeding programs live in their forever homes.  Occasionally, we will be looking for a guardian home for a potential breeding puppy.

If you live in the Kamloops region and are looking to invite a carefully chosen goldendoodle puppy into your hearts, our guardian program may be for you. If you are interested and meet the following requirements, please contact us!

REQUIREMENTS

  •  Ability for primary caregiver to be with pup at least 50% of each day.
  • Must not have any intact dogs in home and must keep your Goldendoodle home and on leash during her heat cycle.
  • Willing and able to socialize your puppy and either attend obedience and/or agility training.
  • Should have pet insurance and financial access to regular professional grooming and on high quality kibble (TLC).

Luna & Sandra

I grew up with dogs and had always enjoyed one as my companion until TaZ left me 20 years ago. When I decided to become a guardian home, I have to admit, I was a little nervous about how much has changed since I had a little puppy be completely reliant on me!

It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I prevailed and when I had questions, Rhonda was there with her knowledge and so many practical tricks to make puppy life easier!

Cali & Jody

I am honored and grateful to have been selected to be a guardian home for Cali.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to have a health and temperament tested, top breeding quality Goldendoodle, become part of my heart and home.    My Zoe’s Doodle Guardian family role has allowed me to see firsthand just what a fantastic breeder Rhonda is, lovingly caring for each and every Zoe’s Doodle puppy from birth … and beyond!  Rhonda and Scott are wonderful to work with, and incredibly helpful with information, encouragement, and support. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Zoe’s Doodle Guardian Program!

Hazel & Janet

When Rhonda first approached me about being a Guardian home, I had no idea what this was or how it worked.  Once the process was explained to me, I still needed some time to think about it.  I already had a Golden Doodle from Zoe’s Doodles (Miss Ellie who was 9 years old at the time) and always knew I wanted another dog but wasn’t sure of the timing.  I had just moved back to Kamloops and was not feeling quite settled yet.  I also thought it might be better to wait until Miss Ellie was a bit older.

We are one of the fortunate families that have been chosen by Rhonda Palmer to be a Guardian family.  We were unsure about proceeding in the beginning as we had only a few months before lost our Golden, but it is a choice we are so thankful we made.

My experience might be somewhat different than most as I went into my Guardianship role with many doubts.  I was 73 years old on my own and had not had a pet since my son was 8 years old - he's now 50..  It has turned out to be the best experience for me at this time of my life.  I could not have done it without the support and teachings of Rhonda - our Breeder.  She has guided me throughout this journey.

My first doodle was from Miss Zoe's first litter. Her name was Honey and she was the best dog I have ever shared my life with. Her daughter Brown Sugar lives with me as does Miss Poppy. Miss Poppy Seed is the great granddaughter to Zoe. Brown Sugar having puppies was the highlight of my year! Brownie is retired now.

Hello, we are Shaun and Karen and are the very fortunate guardian parents of Manny. Manny is one of the few male doodles kept with a guardian family and we feel privileged to care for him and love him. We have always been dog owners, but can honestly say we have never had a more loving, affectionate dog then Manny.
