Rhonda is the heart and soul of Zoe’s Doodles. Her love for the science and genetics behind breeding sets Zoe’s Doodles apart from other breeders. As a Goldendoodle enthusiast with a commitment to ethical breeding practices, she is passionate and involved in every aspect of her breeding program.
A mother to two teenagers and an active community caregiver for adults with disabilities, Rhonda is a natural provider, caregiver, nurturer, and supporter. Her interpersonal warmth shines through in all her interactions with people and pups.
Rhonda is affectionately referred to as "Nan", by her extended doodle families, providing a lifetime of support to families of adopted Zoe's Doodle Puppies.
Jody Peddle: Marketing & Communications
Jody lives in Kamloops, with our very own Cali, and has been actively involved with Zoe’s Doodles since 2021. Jody is our creative lead, responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging and compelling content that reflects Zoe’s Doodles identity and values. She designed our brand kit and logo and is ensuring continuity and consistency across all platforms.
Jody’s creative expertise, strong artistic, technical and communication skills, as well as a passion for creating content that resonates with our followers, is truly an asset to Zoe’s Doodles. We cannot wait for what the future holds with Ms. Peddle on board.

Our Breeding Program
We are a small, home-based breeder of medium and small standard sized Goldendoodles in Kamloops, BC. Technically, we began our breeding program in 2006 with my first love, Miss Zoe. However, my journey to this point truly started back in my grade 10 science class, when I was first introduced to genetics.
All our dogs in our breeding program have been selectively chosen to create happy, confident, well-rounded family members while maintaining or improving upon heritage. We test genetically for disease as well as color and coat traits, temperament, conformation, and movement. All our Goldendoodles are whelped and raised in a home environment. We choose our breeding dogs to live within families, believing personality and emotional wellness can be inherent in their offspring.
We purchased a beautiful home on property overlooking the Thompson River in 2021 and could not be happier with the move. Zoe’s Doodles is conveniently located in central BC, just 20 minutes outside of Kamloops. We have a busy home with 2 teenaged kids, 3 Goldendoodles, and a cat.
The Science Side of Things
I believe the fundamentals of genetics have stayed the same since my grade 10 year but the advancements that have been made are astronomical! The improvements and headway that have been made in DNA testing can extend and enrich the quality of life led by our dogs! We have the ability to completely eradicate crippling affliction and disease through testing and consciously choosing our pairings.

Fascinated by science, an inquiry-based approach, and fueled by curiosity, I began to research breeds of dogs for a home with allergy and asthma sufferers, given a strong family history, and came across the Labradoodle, and ultimately, the Goldendoodle.
Breaking into the breeder circle was an uphill battle and it took me a few years of research and a three-day road trip before I welcomed Zoe into our family. With a two year-old and newborn baby, my breeding plan was still a dream for the future. What I did have was an intelligent, strong-willed, allergy-friendly, intuitive female who I was excited to learn everything about!
Being the planner that I am, I secured breeding rights so that if the stars aligned with my family and Zoe’s personality, temperament, structure, and health testing were meant to be duplicated, we would be set and ready.
The stars aligned and we bred our first litter with Zoe in 2009.
All Things Puppy
In 2021, we were able to turn our dream of moving to the country to raise Goldendoodle puppies into a reality. We purchased a home on a beautiful piece of property overlooking the Thompson River and converted our two-car garage into “R Doodle Shop”. This secured shop is just a few feet from our front door and transforming this space into doodle activities, training, and indoor sensory play area is a longtime goal of ours.
We believe in raising our puppies in a home environment for their health and development. Our Doodle Shop is outfitted with a doggie-door to the outside, a whelping pen, doggie-door to the house, crates, puppy play area, washer and dryer, dog wash station, a comfy couch, TV, stereo, my home office, and more.
We provide our puppies with enriching activities to stimulate their growing brains. They have a ball pit, slide, tunnel, wobble board, and we introduce new toys that make noises and have different sensory qualities. We also expose our puppies to different flooring materials to familiarize them with different sensations and textures. We gradually make their puppy area larger as they reach new developmental milestones. Once the puppies are old enough to go outside they have lots of room to roam.
We keep R Doodle Shop clean and sanitized to ensure that everyone is healthy. Floors, toys, and bedding are cleaned and sanitized frequently. We arrange and change out our pee trays to encourage positive house training, good hygiene, and to make the transition to your home as seamless as possible.

We will only breed Goldendoodle parents who are emotionally mature and genetically (DNA) and structurally (OFA) tested.
We will continually educate ourselves and implement any changes dictated by science to enhance our breeding program.
