Viper the Valiant

Our family is so grateful to be part of Rhonda’s Guardian Program. When we first met the Maverick litter, we instantly fell in love – not with just one puppy, but with two. From the very first cuddles, we knew they had stolen our hearts. Viper was chosen to be a part of the Guardian Dog Program and we were unsure about how it worked and whether Viper would truly feel like she were “ours”. Rhonda’s warmth, patience, and reassurance made all the difference. She took the time to explain everything, answer every question, and guide us step-by-step through the process with no pressure at all.

We’ve known Rhonda for over 14 years – our very first puppy, Sully, came from the beloved and truly special Zoe, the heart and namesake of Zoe’s Doodles. Sully turned out to be the best dog we could have ever dreamed of and stole the hearts of many. Because of that history, we trusted her to guide us toward the right choice. And in the end, she made it possible for us to bring home both of the pups we couldn’t stop thinking about. Viper and her sister, Rigby, have brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives. They’re sweet, playful, and affectionate - whether curled up for evening snuggles or adventuring outdoors, going for truck rides, or hanging out at the lake.

When Viper was ready to have her first litter, Rhonda made the experience unforgettable – not just for Viper, but for our family too. She invited one of our daughters to be present for the birth, giving her the incredible opportunity to witness and help comfort Viper through such a special moment. The lengths Rhonda goes to in caring for her dogs is out of this world – her compassion, dedication and genuine love for each and every one of them is something rate and truly beautiful.

Becoming a guardian home has given us not only two amazing dogs, but also a connection to a warm, supportive community of fellow doodle families. We are proud to be part of this journey and forever thankful to Rhonda and Zoe’s Doodles for trusting us with Viper and her sister, Rigby, and for welcoming us once again into her extended doodle family. ~ The Matchim's
